Gemma’s Bears were inspired by the life of Gemma Therese Holihen, who lived for only 52 minutes because of complications from Trisomy 13.  Gemma’s Bears are a small gift of love for newly diagnosed Trisomy 13 and 18 babies and their families.  We offer these bears free of charge to families who are faced with these diagnoses either prenatally or after birth.   It is our hope that these gifts may be a reminder to families who have just received this difficult diagnosis, that their child is a precious child of God.
